Fantastic experience on first time hiring here. Very helpful and friendly staff. Dylan showed us the ropes and accompanied us on a test run up the river. The boat was very clean and well equipped. Would 100% recommend.

The lads here are very chilled and have no doubt seen everything, which was just as well when we ran aground at Brandon Lock! We had to call them up a couple of times, sending out Roving Chris to assist. Dylan was great at the initial handover, with brothers Chris and Phil handling the backend of things. We hired a 52ft narrowboat, which was perfect for the three of us. The house batteries were low (end of season I guess) so we had to run the engine in the evenings but, to be honest, we'd have had to have done that to run the heating anyway. We chose a cold, fresh week for our excursion but the heating is efficient so it didn't take long to get toasty. The boats are well kitted out with everything from bedding to kitchen utensils, including caffetierre, baking trays etc, as well as comprehensive maps and guides of the whole area. This particular boat made it easy to explore the side rivers of the Little Ouze and Old West, which are breathtaking. Would definitely recommend Bridge Boatyard as you're in good hands. Thanks, lads.

We hired Sunquest 1 and had a lovely week on The Great River Ouse, our group was 4 adults and a small dog and there was just about enough room onboard for it to be comfortable for us, the boat was a little bit dated but was nice quality and we all had a great time. There was a nice welcome pack on arrival and plenty of info in the captain’s manual, the guys at The Bridge Boatyard were very helpful and welcoming. This was our first time on a boating holiday and I recommend giving it a go.

As a surprise birthday present for my fiancee I booked a 3 day break through Hoseasons in a narrow boat.Merlot the name of this well presented narrow boat.Callan gave us a good tutorial and then we were on our way as complete novices .A thoroughly enjoyable experience the weather was good too.Very lucky.The boat yard staff were pleasant and honest too.Thank you guys .Definitely recommend this holiday and the operators . Fabulous helpful staff who made our first time canal barge holiday a memorable and easy and safe one. Great adventure on almost new delightful barge Marsh Harrier, would highly recommend to others and will be booking soon for another holiday next Summer
